TraySwitch Privacy Policy

TraySwitch (“the app”) is a personal aligner wear-time tracker. This policy explains how data is handled.
Summary
TraySwitch does not collect any personal data. All information you enter stays on your device. If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your own private iCloud database — the developer never has access to it.
What data is processed
Everything TraySwitch records is data you enter yourself:
- Aligner sessions (start time, end time, notes)
- Wear-time history and statistics
- App preferences
This data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework.
iCloud sync
If iCloud is enabled in iOS Settings and signed in with your Apple ID, the app syncs your data to your private CloudKit database so it is available across your devices.
- The developer cannot access, view, or download anything in your private iCloud database. Apple is the data processor.
- Sync can be disabled at any time by turning off iCloud for TraySwitch in iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud.

What the app does NOT do
- No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking
- No crash reporting SDKs
- No third-party services or trackers
- No advertising
- No accounts, sign-in, or server backend operated by the developer
- No data ever leaves your devices or your iCloud account
Live Activities
TraySwitch uses iOS Live Activities to display the active aligner session on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Live Activities are managed entirely on your device using Apple’s ActivityKit framework. No remote push notifications are sent, and no Live Activity data leaves your device.
Permissions
TraySwitch does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, health data, or any other sensitive system resource.
Children’s privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13. Because no personal information is collected, the app does not knowingly collect data from children.
Data retention and deletion
All app data lives on your device (and your iCloud account if sync is enabled). To delete it:
- Delete the app from your device, or
- In iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Account Storage, remove TraySwitch data from iCloud.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at https://fmiras.com/trayswitch/privacy with a revised “Last updated” date.
